Ceramic film uses very small ceramic particles within the film. A product such as SunTek CIR uses a non-metal construction for solar control and signal-friendly connectivity. The aim is comfort without relying only on a very dark shade.
When is the upgrade worth comparing?
Put ceramic on your shortlist if you spend a lot of time driving in sunshine or want stronger solar performance at a lighter appearance. Ask for the exact price difference and the actual TSER improvement over the other film in your quote.
What ceramic does not do
It does not turn a parked car into a cool room, guarantee night-time privacy or make every shade legal. Glass still affects the finished light transmission. Keep the performance choice and the legal shade choice separate.
How much more does ceramic cost?
The upgrade depends on the vehicle and exact film range. Our automotive price guide explains indicative budgets and the extra work that can affect your final quote.
