Glass changes the comfort of a space
Sunlight through glass can create unwanted heat and glare in a vehicle, home or office. The result depends on glass type, orientation, frame, film specification, shading and the size of the glazed area.
Why we avoid fixed promises
A west-facing window in direct afternoon sun behaves differently from a shaded window. For that reason, responsible advice should not promise a fixed temperature reduction for every property. Product data and the actual site matter.
What to compare
For buildings, useful information can include visible transmittance, solar heat gain coefficient and solar energy rejection. For vehicles, compare VLT, total solar energy rejection, UV performance and warranty. Darkness and heat performance are not the same thing.
Window film may also help reduce UV transmission and slow fading, although no film makes furnishings or interiors completely fade-proof.
Send photos of the affected glass and tell us when the heat or glare occurs. Perth Tint Co. can help identify a practical starting point for your vehicle, home or business.
